Preference will be given to individuals who are willing to obtain the mandatory oilfield work certifications and airbrake Z endorsement throught Oilfield Job Connections. Only about 10% of the job is driving a truck, 90% or more is hard physically working on the oilrig itself. People who are best suited for these positions should have a previous work history of construction, landscaping, farm labour, logging and or any similar physically demanding work environments where there was heavy lifing.
 

Minimum certification: H2S Alive, St. John's 2 Day standard first aid, Full Ontario class G license with  Ontario airbrake Z Endorsement will be acceptable in certain areas.
 

Description:

  • Enjoy working as a team
  • be punctual, and safety oriented
  • good practical hand skills, using hand and power tools
  • be strong and physically fit, able to carry 80-100 pounds
  • be prepared to work away from home for extended periods of time
  • enjoy working outdoors in extreme weather conditions
  • willingness to learn and be prepared for possible rapid advancement opportunities
  • must be willing to work 12 or more hours per day for 21 days consecutive when required
  • must participate in training courses and safety meetings as required
